iMTS Utility Tutorial

iMTS Utility

The iMTS Utility is both PC and Mac compatible.  This software is used to create the mobile/distance learning modules and is intuitive and easy to use.

The utility provides the ability to:

  • Create the navigation structure
  • Insert or delete modules
  • Insert or delete slides
  • Format text including:  font size, font color, font styles and html links
  • Insert or delete PDF documents, Graphics, Movies or Animation

Note:  Animations, Movies and Audio files must be in the iPhone/iPod touch format (mp3, mp4 and m4v)

Files exported with the iMTS PPT Plug-in are instantly recognized by the iMTS Utility, with each slide and instructor notes already pre-loaded into the iMTS Utility.  The instructor notes may be further modified using the inherent tools available with-in the iMTS Utility.

——————————————————————-

At this point the material is ready to be loaded into the iMTS application unless additional formatting or manipulation is required, including, but not limited to:  insertion or deletion of slides, text formatting, new modules or lessons, adding video, audio or PDFs to the navigational structure.  Additional instructions on the iMTS Utility are contained below.

Note:  Depending on how the original PowerPoint slides were constructed, the text associated with each slide may contain non-ASCII text.  If the associated text contains non-ASCII text, the information may display incorrectly in the iMTS application.  If this situation occurs, use the Filter Non-ASCII  button in the MTS editor for each affected ’slide’.  Filtering the non-ASCII text will remove the offending characters.
